I always enjoyed sewing, there was something about turning fabric into a finished product. When my dog Murphy got a bandana from his groomer I decided to try to make one. I wanted to make one that would be okay to sleep in, one that wouldn't come apart when washed, and one that would look nice. My first attempt did not go well, nor did my second, but by my third attempt I got something that I was happy with. It was a simple bandana with a snap, but then I decided I could do better. So I kept making more bandanas until I finally got to the style I ended up selling. With my first order I threw in a bowtie, it wasn't super great since it was more of a prototype. The customer told me that she would buy bowties if I sold them. So then I started trying to figure out the best bowtie that I could make that was hot glue free and worked with my dogs martingale collar. After many failed attempts I finally got to the bowtie I sell today. My bowties have won ribbons for their craftmanship and how versatile they are. Bowties are my favorite thing to make now because of how many details go into it. Everything I offer is my own, I've made my own patterns and processes which was a big learning curve. After selling for some time I decided I needed to make a new type of bandana that worked with every dog, I'm still in the process of making those patterns so that the sizing and proportions are right. At the end of the day I did all of this to help the no kill animal rescue buy supplies for their animals. Owning this shop is such an amazing experience.
